Clean Water

Clean water is essential for day to day life but is not available to the majority of people in West Pokot. We have a well and a water treatment system that provides the COPE compound with clean water for our students, COPE House children, employees, and members of the community that visit us.

Drilled Well

In 2023 we received a generous donation to fund a drilled well. This was a blessing to the entire Pokot community. Our other well is hand dug and for the most part, has been able to supply the compound with enough water for the students, employees, shamba, and COPE House. However, when there is drought or its overcast we sometimes don’t have enough water or enough solar power to pump the water through the compound. This new drilled well has eliminated those issues. In addition, it has given us basically an endless supply of drinkable water so we can share with the community without having to impose limits. A new well means new life and we are incredibly grateful!  The donor expressed that they hope that God will use this physical well to not only meet the physical needs of the community temporarily, but to provide an opportunity for COPE to share with the community about the Living Well that is Jesus Christ and meet their spiritual needs in an eternal way.

Community Water

Many of our neighbors fill up jugs of water at our compound to sustain them through the week.
